Brandon Marshall injury

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)

Just what the Broncos didn't need heading into the biggest game of the season. CBS4 Broncos Insider Gary Miller reports that receiver Brandon Marshall strained his right hamstring during Wednesday's practice.

The injury occurred during the early moments of practice that is open to the media. Marshall was running a route when he came up limping. He went to the sideline where he was tended to by the Broncos training staff. He did not return to the field before the media's time to watch practice ended.

The extent of the injury or his status going forward to Sunday's game is unknown at this point. The Broncos are required to issue an injury report after today's practice.

Yeah, but JaFatass beat US.

I figure Stokely's stats will be like 13 rec for 164 yds and 3TD's, or some shit. The '09 Chiefs are pretty good at finding ways to lose. HOWEVER, I still hope for a win here.

Scheffler benched too

Brandon Marshall wasn't the only Bronco to get rapped on the knuckles this week.

Tight end Tony Scheffler was informed that he will be benched this week because of his attitude, according to the Denver Post. Scheffler worked on the scout team Thursday.

Although we think it's far too early to say Marshall won't be back in Denver next season -- he's done worse after all -- Scheffler is on even thinner ice. He's not a Pro Bowler, after all.

Both players are headed for restricted free agency next season barring a new collective bargaining agreement.

all I know is I am Cheaps fan as soon as the kickoff takes place until the end of the game...What a treat it would be to see you guys knock em out of the playoffs.

Scheffler doesn't fit what McDaniels likes to do and probably won't be resigned once the season is over. McDaniels tried to trade him in the offseason.

As long as Spencer Larsen and Ryan Clady play we shouldn't have any problems running on the Chiefs all day just like last time.

What would be even more fun is to be able to crow to Donk fans during the off-season how the Cheaps had twice as many wins the last 10 games of the season.
