Think of all that opium we burnt in Afghanistan. Could have been used for the Haitian disaster. Heard they have no drugs for people with broken bones there. These events happen all over the world. We think we can supply drugs but we can't when things like this happen. Shameful waste. :headshake edit. I don't think you know what you even post. Do some reading and you will see they need drugs there. But don't let that stand in the way of your stupid posts.

Nevermind that the drug money from the opium trade in the middle east is used to finance terrorism. Oh and the opium wasn't likely being refined into commercial morphine.

Not if a US contractor would take control and manufacture it for medicinal purposes.

Really? You would just usurp land? How would that look to the local populace? Yep they come in and take over your poppy fields so that they can take the profit. Plus I doubt haiti is in dire need of opiates so much as it needs food, water, infrastructure and antibiotics.

I can see we have some old conservative stodgys here who don't know that opium is morphine. The opium/morphine would surely have made drug addicts of the Haitians. Morphine is the standard for pain relief in hospitals. Better than the fake lab created drugs. Good to see the drug war is being carried on.
