Played in 50 of 51 possible games and made 26 starts from 2007-10 after redshirting the 2006 campaign … earned first-team All-Pac-10 honors in his first season as a full-time starter in 2009 after garnering an honorable mention all-conference selection in 2008 and before picking up second-team all-league recognition as a 2010 senior … finished his collegiate career fourth on Cal's all-time list for tackles with 340 (197 unassisted, 143 assisted), while adding 20.0 tackles for loss (-81 yards), 7.0 sacks (-51 yards), seven interceptions (77 return yards) including two that he brought back for touchdowns, nine pass breakups, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and nine quarterback hurries Combine: 3 cone was 6.70 (same as Miller) showing great burst and change of direction, short shuttle was 4.00 (faster than Miller 4.06). Chris Carter (248lbs) - Fresno State DE (will be an OLB in the NFL). 2010 WAC Defensive Player of the Year. 4.62 forty, with a 6.88 3 cone, and a 1.59 10 yard split at the combine. I had Mohammed in one of my mocks. I like the guy a lot. Could play a number of LB positions due to his athleticism and instinct. Smart guy as well. Reminds me a whole lot of former Cal Bear and KC Chief linebacker Scott Fujita.
Carter is a beast. He's a lot like Koa Misi last year where he probably should have been playing the linebacker spot, but was at that tweener level in a college 4-3 and had to play with his fist on the ground. I'd seriously like to have either one of these guys than some other west coast linebacker(s) that is/are being mentioned as a first rounder. |

Homer Pick: DeJon Gomes in the 6th or 7th round. He would be a better player than Donald Washington. You could line him up at safety or dime back and also play him in the roamer position they used Washington as in some packages.
