7 round NFL mock for 2012

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1...d-order/page/2

Pick 12 - Kansas City Chiefs

David DeCastro, Offensive Guard, Stanford

Notes: Drafting DeCastro anchors the Kansas City run game, and keeps Matt Cassel healthy. That's most important.

Pick 44 - Kansas City Chiefs

Janoris Jenkins, Cornerback, North Alabama

Note: If Brandon Carr leaves in free agency, the Chiefs will need to move fast to replace their up-and-coming corner.

Pick 75 - Kansas City Chiefs
Josh Chapman, Nose Tackle, Alabama

Pick 108 - Kansas City Chiefs
Kendall Reyes, Defensive End, Connecticut

Pick 140 - Kansas City Chiefs
Terrance Ganaway, Running Back, Baylor

Pick 172 - Kansas City Chiefs
Rishard Matthews, Wide Receiver, Nevada

Pick 204 - Kansas City Chiefs
Derek Wolfe, Defensive End, Cincinnati

DeCastro is a solid pick but keeping Cassel healthy is not important.

Janoris Jenkins is a MFing S-T-U-D. He was First Team All-SEC at Florida and got kicked off the team prior to this season for getting caught with bud multiple times. He has top-15 talent. His style of play is very similar to Flowers: an undersized (although 2" taller than BFlowers), man-coverage ball-hawk.

I'd rather draft Konz and leave Hudson at guard if we have to go interior line with that pick. Center is the biggie that must get filled this year.

I would tend to disagree. Hudson is the C of the future. C needs to be in camp from day 1 and get it down. Starting a rookie C, potentially during a period of changing QBs, is asking for trouble, even with a good prospect like Konz.

The Wisconsin ORG is also a fine looking prospect, possibly available a bit later too...

If we had a quarterback, that would be a damn fine draft that could put us over the top.

I'd like Ganaway in late rounds, the rest of that draft would make me want to puke.

"high" indeed...

and if he gets the lowest score on the Wonderlic for the CB position, that will count as a "+" for the Gators again this year, as Josh Portis did last year...

Except neither finished their collegiate careers with Florida.
