It was inevitable, but necessary to obtain Geno.

We are ranked 31st by Brian Billick on his list this week. Ahead of the Jags. If we are better than the Jags... just damn... you really have to feel for those fans.

Seriously, given the history of this franchise, why do so many think that the number one pick in the draft will be spent on Geno, let alone any other QB? I will believe it when I see it. Otherwise, if I placed any money on it, I'd bet on a cornerback or a safety.

Because even ***** is not that stupid to pass up a QB with the #1 overall pick, and with as bad as we need a QB.... Or is he?

As I stated... I will believe it when I see it. I have zero faith in this organization. A new GM prior to the draft would bring some of it back for me.

Nope. Because after he got fired for not picking a quarterback in that position, he'd never work in the NFL again.

He'd trade down (now that top 5 picks have higher value than ever) and draft a post-1st round QB.

Then gloat that he helped the team AND got the QB he really wanted...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

All the while secretly chuckling to himself about how he'd broken the last bit of the heart of the fan base that told him to go the **** back where he came from.

It could happen.
