Final Job Report before Election...171,000 jobs added

Pretty good number and BLS upward revised the prior months as well.

Hiring increased last month, while the unemployment rate ticked higher, according to a report released just four days before the presidential election.

The economy added 171,000 jobs in October, while the unemployment ticked up to 7.9, from 7.8% in September, the Labor Department said Friday.

Economists surveyed by CNNMoney had expected employers to add 125,000 positions in the month and unemployment to inch up to 7.9%.

The number of jobs added in August and September were revised sharply higher, adding a combined 84,000 more jobs that originally reported.

Professional and business services added 51,000 positions, while health care employment rose by 31,000. Retail and leisure and hospitality also boosted payrolls. Manufacturing was little changed and mining lost 9,000 jobs.

in 45 months, the total NET jobs added under Obama is 194,000. Dont believe me? Go check out the statistics on the bureau of lab and do some math.

Now, taking that info, it will take the economy 9-10 years to recover.

Yeah, but the sentiment of more people entering the workforce is a good thing.

Of course it also underscores that if the workforce was at the same level as when Obama took office the prez would be sitting on double-digit unemployment.

The young peoples unemployment rate went up again for ages 20-24 . They need jobs and this leadership has failed this age group greatly. This age group has had their eyes opened up since getting away from their liberal high school and college teachers. Welcome to the real world youngsters !
