Likewise. Sparano was a great OL coach.

He'd be a hell of a hire and a very experienced set of eyes.

Is that "Sparano" or "Saprano"?

I'd take the latter.

He's one degree of separation from the Pioli branch.

Plausible deniability.

Anyone consider the fact that our O-Lineman are going to have to get beefier with Reid as HC and Sporano as OL coach?

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Actually, there was no joke intended there, though I wish I was that clever.

The fact is, both Reid and Sporano are guys that like big, strong, physical O-Lines.

Evan Mathis 6'5'' 302 lbs
Todd Herremans 6'6'' 321 lbs
Brandon Albert 6'5'' 315 lbs

two of them are Guards, one has been a cornerstone LT. LOL

What I'm trying to say is that these guys are not zone scheme types.

They like to try to build lines that dominate physically.

Asomoah and Hudson do not fit that mold at present.

Reid has neglected the OL for years in Philli.

His belief is that as long as he has a two great T's he's good...
