Favorite Sitcom of all time?

Some buddies and I were talking at work the other day about what the best sitcoms of all time were....we are all three from different generations, so there were quite a variety of names thrown out there. I'd like to get a broader opinion, and this site gets the most traffic out of any I visit.

So, lets hear your opinions. If the thread is well received and gets quite a few nominees, I'll try and create a poll later on of the top ten, so that we can narrow it down to one.

I'll start by mentioning Seinfeld and The Simpsons.

Seinfeld, I think got off to a slow start the first season or so, but really picked up and had a good run. Very nice finale too with lots of returning characters.

The Simpsons has really fell off the last decade or so, but in its first decade, it was really wonderful.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I was happy that Cheers made it as far as it did. I was also very happy to see how far Arrested Development made it, even if it was helped by the age group and sense of humor most of the board has.

Every time I think of AD I think of two things:

1) "I'm pretty sure she's just slumming it because she's pissed at her last b/f but I don't care because I'm hitting THIS:"

2) I remember when my grandfather was passing away and we all went down to see him. At one point I looked at some pictures my aunt had on her desk and said "damn, she's hot! Who's that?"

She said: "Your first cousin."

I forgot the name but this sitcom has a family full of black people and they live in the ghetto. This real skinny tall kid is real funny though, he says stuff like dy-no-mite and wears a hat like Gilligan. I always thought it was funny because that skinny kid didn't look anything like his mom and dad on the show.

The family was funny in spite of being as poor as a church mouse and it always seemed like they had good times.

"Good Times" was the name of the series. That skinny kid got his start as a stand up comic. The actor that played his father later died of a heart attack. The series focused on a gheto families' strugles with poverty that was able to overcome it because they supported each other.

James the character died on the show of a heart attack, John Amos, the actor who played James, is still going strong. Been on a slew of shows in guest roles right up to present. Most recently a regular on The West Wing, then Men in Trees [Anne Heche's version of Northern Exposure].

And I think Fairplay was yanking our chains pretending not to know more about the show.
