Favorite Sitcom of all time?
Some buddies and I were talking at work the other day about what the best sitcoms of all time were....we are all three from different generations, so there were quite a variety of names thrown out there. I'd like to get a broader opinion, and this site gets the most traffic out of any I visit.
So, lets hear your opinions. If the thread is well received and gets quite a few nominees, I'll try and create a poll later on of the top ten, so that we can narrow it down to one. I'll start by mentioning Seinfeld and The Simpsons. Seinfeld, I think got off to a slow start the first season or so, but really picked up and had a good run. Very nice finale too with lots of returning characters. The Simpsons has really fell off the last decade or so, but in its first decade, it was really wonderful. |

I was happy that Cheers made it as far as it did. I was also very happy to see how far Arrested Development made it, even if it was helped by the age group and sense of humor most of the board has.

I forgot the name but this sitcom has a family full of black people and they live in the ghetto. This real skinny tall kid is real funny though, he says stuff like dy-no-mite and wears a hat like Gilligan. I always thought it was funny because that skinny kid didn't look anything like his mom and dad on the show.
The family was funny in spite of being as poor as a church mouse and it always seemed like they had good times. |

And I think Fairplay was yanking our chains pretending not to know more about the show.
