Yeah, you and Reaper are correct about his defense of certain people at times.

But he does seem to hold sway in here, making sure things never get too far left.

Isn't pedo talk supposed to be a rule violation now? Or does Dane just get special protection?

It's probably random accusations of pedo behavior that are frowned upon rather than discussions involving the possibility of such behavior among public figures.

I wasn't accusing you of anything. Sorry if that was offensive to you. It was supposed to be funny.

That's incredibly vague, and practically meaningless. I would say that this post:

Would be similar to saying that, because I admire a lot of Thomas Jefferson's ideas, as President of DC I would pronounce that anyone who is having financial difficulties should have been invested in Negroes.

I agree that it's incredibly vague. I asked for clarification, but none was forthcoming. Like I said, it's a stupid rule. But it's even worse if it doesn't apply equally to all or if it's too vague to know what's allowed and what's not allowed.

The best I can tell from the limited data is that the rule applies to people who make Dane upset and it doesn't apply to Flopnuts. The line must be somewhere in between, but there's no way to tell where.

That's not similar at all since there's no rule against talking about investing in Negroes and because it doesn't implicate another poster personally.

If someone were to make a similar joke about me, for instance revolving around racism as opposed to condoning pedo behavior, I wouldn't find it offensive or attempt to appeal to the moderation of the forum. I would take it as a joke instead of overreacting, as you have plainly done.
