I wish he would have picked up a bottle of whiskey instead, but this is still pretty ****ing stupid.

[edit] The thread, not the having to drink water thing.

For many people watching, this was probably their first exposure to Rubio.

The lasting impression will be his flop sweat (wiping his face several times) and the water bottle reach.

This looks less than presidential. Good thing 2016 is a long way away.

Do you think anyone remembers what Rubio said in his response last night? No. The water bottle reach is going to get all the attention on late night shows, SNL, etc.

I'm sure MSNBC will spend a great deal of time on it.

Once again showing the MSM's complete bias towards the left.

Hussein could pick a 6 ounce burger out of his nose in the middle of his speech, flick it into Biden's mouth, and the media would pretend it never happened.

well he was batting second and the first batter got a lot of ovations fors stretching the truth
1) 6 million new jobs -- pretty creative on his part when there were 5 million lost on his watch --the actual gain is more like 1.2 million since 2010.
2) doubling the distance of miles per gallon of gas on our cars --2011 deal was to have vehicles with a corporate average fuel economy of 54.5 miles per gallon by 2025! That is 12 years from now. Auto makers are not even making any changes toward the standards until 2017. Not all cars will double their mileage
3) the whole deficit thing...who is he kidding?

I remember the things Obama gaffed on.
Maybe you don't remember anything Rubio said is that you can't find anything wrong with what he said.

Remember 57 states. That what Obama governs.

After Bobby Jindal completely destroyed himself as a national candidate after his response to the SOTU, I don't know how anybody with national ambitions would think this is a good idea.

If you do a good job, nobody's going to remember you. Meanwhile, if the lights are too hot and you end up thirsty/sweaty, you're just done in the eyes of an electorate that has the attention span of a moth.

Just stay the !@#$ away from these things and leave the responses to guys like Boehner that already have already pretty much locked in their career tracks.
