Iranians making threats against the US and The First Family

http://dailycaller.com/2013/09/05/ir...us-hits-syria/

I'm not a fan of President Obama but this direct threat to our country and the family of the President makes my blood boil. Someone in Tehran needs to put a muzzle on this guy before he gets himself killed.

That is some hardcore threats being sent out by that crazy effer. It was like out of a movie saying that someone that has been able to get close to the Obama family will rape his daughter. Seems like an episode of Homeland!

Yep, you simply can't make friends with barbarians. They only understand force. I would think even Barry has learned that lesson over the past five years.

Maybe there's more going on in Syria than we know. Iran seems extremely nervous and agitated by the whole possibility of a US strike in Syria. I wonder why Hmm.

So what you're saying is that appeasing Iran's leaders, which would probably mean less nasty comments like this, would be an indication of foreign policy that IS working well?

The whole notion that foreign policy success should be measured by what the leaders of generally-unfriendly countries say is kind of ridiculous.

The question now is, does Barry take this seriously? Does he take it into account?

I hope the dude has learned that there is no reasoning with the leaders of the Middle East. You can't deny that he's tried to reason with them, and even tried to kiss their asses. Hopefully he's learned that this is a fruitless effort.

If he takes it into account, I would assume it is taken into account behind the scenes. I don't see any reason to make a big public deal about what some nut in Iran said.

Yeah, I would deny he's tried to kiss anyone's ass. I hear about complaints of appeasement at the same time I hear complaints about drone strikes and military actions in these sovereign Muslim countries.

Funny, isn't it?

GW Bush gets a shoe thrown at him, and he is roundly blasted as an embarrassment to the world...

Our affirmative action President gets a death threat, and he's a fine example of a POTUS...

W getting a shoe thrown at him isn't what made him an embarassment. Although, it was an odd way of thanking him for liberating their country. Bunch of ingrates.

I guess I'd say that what Iran's leaders say about such things is pretty much irrelvant to anything. Hell, if Iran's leaders said something nice about Obama, you would use that as proof that he is a radical Muslim.

You have no idea which is better--being praised by the Muslim fanatics or being hated by them.

Ok...i'll agree with you on that part. However, doesn't it steam you that threats are being made to children?

I would not. That sounds like something that you and your leftist brethren would do.

Nowruz in Persian means "New year" - The new year begins March 20 on the Persian calendar.

March 20, 2012

President Obama on Nowruz:
Quote:
Today I want to extend my very best wishes to all who are celebrating Nowruz around the world. This holiday is both an ancient ritual and a moment of renewal, and I hope that you enjoy this special time of year with friends and family.

In particular, I would like to speak directly to the people and leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Nowruz is just one part of your great and celebrated culture. Over many centuries your art, your music, literature and innovation have made the world a better and more beautiful place. Here in the United States our own communities have been enhanced by the contributions of Iranian Americans. We know that you are a great civilization, and your accomplishments have earned the respect of the United States and the world.

THE WHITE HOUSE
Office of the Press Secretary
March 20, 2006

March 2006

I send greetings to those celebrating Nowruz.

Nowruz is an ancient celebration marking the arrival of the New Year. For millions of people around the world who trace their heritage to Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, Pakistan, India, and Central Asia, Nowruz is a celebration of life and an opportunity to express joy and happiness through visiting family and friends, exchanging gifts, and enjoying the beauty of nature.

Our Nation is blessed by the traditions and contributions of Americans of many different backgrounds. Our diversity has made us stronger and better, and Laura and I send warm regards to all Americans celebrating Nowruz.

Best wishes for peace and prosperity in the New Year.
