Obama

I have avoided posting here because it has become so partisan. Usually if I do post here it is to comment on a non-partisan issue like gerrymandering, the filibuster, the electoral college etc. I will break that rule now.

Many of you know from when I was posting more often here that I am a Democrat. It is with great difficulty that I call for President Obama to resign. The government has simply gotten out of control. He has lost his ability to govern. Nothing will or can be done while Obama is President except perhaps in the area of foreign policy. Good or bad he has become a lighting rod. There is an impossible standard of having to overcome a 60% limit to pass anything in the Senate. There is also the standard in the House of needing to have a majority of Republicans behind a measure before it will come to a vote. One could argue that past Speakers, including Democrats, have set the same standard. They all allowed exceptions, Boehner does not.

Obama-Dumpty sat on a wall; Obama-Dumpty had a great fall. All the medias bosses, and all the medias' men, couldn't put Obama-Dumpty together again.

A true shell of a man.

Your rationale is ridiculous, but kudos for coming to the right conclusion.

I'm not sure what you mean. Surely you don't agree with whoman's "blame Republicans" rationale.

Your premise is flawed in that you believe that any action is better than no action.

In most cases it is better that the government take no action than do something because the governments solutions are one size fit all, heavy handed, usually ineffective, and full of nasty consequences.

And in some cases doing nothing makes it worse. Doing nothing has made the budget problems worse. Doing nothing has done nothing for those out of a job.

Well, I wouldn't say he's done nothing. He had Pelosi and Reid pass a destructive bill called ACA. He's been busy changing regulations, the kind that need the consent of congress in order to by pass their consent. I wouldn't say he has done nothing. Plus he sure has no trouble spending. Meanwhile, he still got the debt limit raised.

I've never seen a presidency marred by scandal after scandal. I've never seen a president be unwilling to negotiate with the other party like this one has. Democratic and Republican presidents before him would sit in a room and iron things out but this president chooses a "My way or the highway" attitude and continually bashes people that disagree with him publicly.

If the republicans gain control of the senate and maintain the house, Obama will be impeached. With all of the laws that he has broken he could be the first US President put in jail after this is all said and done.

Obama is a lame duck president that won't get another thing done during his presidency. Democrats are starting to realize how toxic he is and to save their own careers will push away from him and the republicans will block everything they can.

Lied us into a war ring a bell? Used the Presidency and the office to spy on and act against political enemies? Tea Pot dome scandal? Blowjobs in the oval office, lying to a grand jury. Your hero Reagan sold arms that ended up in our enemies hands to finance a guerrilla war, The list goes on and on.

Obama has not had any major scandals on that level. Prespective is a good thing.
