Dustin Colquitt Appreciation thread
I know the running joke when we were atrocious in 2011 and even before in 09 and 08 the running joke was that Dustin Colquitt was our best player and our team MVP, the only reason we won, etc.. I would however contest that he is not only better now in his tenth year, but he is MORE valuable. In the last 2 years to my recollection we cannot point to field position as the primary reason we lost a game; we are always ahead in the battle for field position and our defense feeds off of Dustin as well. If he boots one 55 yards and our coverage team pins them inside the 15 that fires our defense up and seems to get the ball rolling for us under Andy Reid. Obviously with JC and the way Alex Smith has been playing and Justin as well you wouldn't be able to call Dustin our most valuable player or best player, but I would contest he is DAMN close. Love this guy, usually no punter would ever validate a 3rd round pick or the money he demands, but the dude is the best in the league with no real valid argument for anyone else. Thank you Dustin, keep kicking ass!
