Random thought on reincarnation

Do you think the reason that some babies and children are so much happier than others is because they are actually people who have been reincarnated?

These children realize they are living a second life and draw upon their past experience to live even better lives than their first time around.

Thus, they are extremely happy and appear to mature faster than other children. These are the children you grew up around who were seemingly better at everything - got better grades, were better athletes, scored more with the opposite sex - and were just generally happier.

There is a downside though - once these people leave their second childhood, they suddenly become depressed and unhappy. They know the soul-crushing work that now awaits them as adults.

These are the extremely sad people you see roaming the world as adults. Knowing they have 60+ years to go before they can experience another happy childhood, having experienced much of what life has to offer already. In their previous life.

I've died twice since joining CP in 2000 and we're still arguing about franchise QB's. So...yeah.

this is why i think people like elon musk and bill gates are probably on their third or fourth life

and all the reports of aliens and shit...that's people who are into the thousands on their lives and have lived long enough to figure out space travel and alternate dimensions and god knows what else...probably entire colonies of these people on other planets

earth is like the minor leagues...eventually you get called up to the majors when you figure something amazing out and the earth has nothing else left to teach you

it's like...do you guys really think Michael Jordan learned how to be that good at basketball in one life?

in his previous life he probably discovered it too late and washed out in college....

next life he was like holy shit, OK i'm gonna dedicate my entire life to being the best basketball player ever

and he did. and now he's just a jerk all the time because he has no idea what he's going to do in his next life, and he knows it's probably gonna suck, because he's gonna be starting from scratch. he didn't develop any rudimentary skills/talents in this life to perfect in his next one. too much time spent on basketball, sex and gambling.

More than likely he was a fairly happy kid born to super strict religious parents and spent his formulative years in a basement wrapped in a cape. Once he learned all the pertinent life lessons one can learn in that manner or maybe he saved a burning bus of nuns, he was rewarded with an upgraded life next time.

But really what is an upgraded life? All these rich people running around losing family members and friends to accidents of life and I'm just cruising along at 35mph without really losing anything ever.
