I'm sure he wasn't like Frank Thomas of Wendy's, starting out personally cooking the burgers and building an empire, etc. But it was more than 'Paris Hilton for Carl's Jr.' doing nothing more than appearing in a commercial or two. He was the face and name of the franchise, and I'm fairly sure he got an ownership interest in the venture.
