I'm actively looking to purchase a used vehicle for my son to drive, and was curious about the worth and cost of a warranty for it. Suggestions, particularly if there's a reputable outfit out there, would be welcomed. Thanks!

On average, your best option for any kind of car warranty you have to pay for is to say no. It might be worth it if you get unlucky on a major repair, but chances are you won't ever use it.

and they always try to find a reason to not cover anything/everything...

hell they sold a guy a warranty and 6 months later when the 5.4 3 valve blew they told him the previous owner had the same warranty and complained of an engine tick no one could figure out so they werent covering it due to pre-existing conditions, but they didnt tell him that when taking his money for a full warranty...

yep. most warranties are garbage. And the language is basically a book of stuff they won't cover.


like if your motor blows up because of some random gasket leak (or something ridiculous), they would pay for the gasket, but not the motor. lol. shit like that.
