Dropped Passes - tied for 2nd worst in NFL

https://www.sportingcharts.com/nfl/s...rcentage/2016/

Dropped 4.9% of passes this year compared to 3.5% last year. Harris better fix his shit in the offseason. Maclin had some uncharacteristic ones. DAT/Ware/West were pretty sloppy this season too. Conley had a couple but improved down the stretch.

At least 5 dropped passes in the loss to Pitt.

Total dropped passes: 26 in regular season

Maclin never gets the ball thrown his way so I can understand that...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Oakland has more dropped passes and they have an elite offense.

Is there a stat that tracks all the missed wide open receivers for a TD we can compare it to?

No, is there a stat that tracts how fast a qb is getting pressured on every pass attempt.

Is there a stat on how wr's get open after a play breaks down cause ours are never open on broken plays.

Wut? Everytime Alex took a sack or threw the ball away they showed a replay of a wide open receiver

This isn't ****ing Madden, kid. Real QBs don't get to see the entire route development for all his targets simultaneously and then click a button.

Maybe if Andy Reid can get in a time machine and bring back Randy Moss, Cris Carter, Tony Gonzalez and Marvin Harrison in their primes, we can improve to average on offense?

Is it possible that Alex just doesn't throw a very catchable pass? I know this is not easy to gauge and I've never seen any kind of ranking among active QBs who throws a more catchable pass and who throws a less catchable pass, but the concept is not completely foreign.

For example, in the article below, Sam Wyche talks about Joe Montana throwing a particularly catchable pass.

Yes this is a very plausible theory just like the Kelce drop that was down at his knees. Would a better throw have made it a more manageable catch I think so but still no excuse for him dropping it. It was catchable.

This argument is rediculous. Down at his knees? You see other receivers contorting their bodies in crazy f-ing positions to make insane catches but when chiefs receivers drop passes that are well placed its somehow Smiths fault. This bullshit is so tired. Harbernick GTFO of here with your tired shit and dont crawl out of your hole until Kapernick does something worthy of talking about again.
