Drafttek mock April 4

Check out this Drafttek mock for the Chiefs:

54. Carlton Davis - Corner
78. Kyzir White - Safety
86. Wyatt Teller - Guard
122. Kendrick Norton - DL
124. Jerome Baker - OLB
196. Duke Ejiofor - EDGE
233. Frank Herron - DL
243. Dylan Cantrell - WR

* Newly updated reflecting the Rams/Pats trade and this version is quite different from the March 28th version.
* A run of OL at the top of the 2nd pushes some DBs down the board, and the best press man fit, Carlton Davis, is there for the taking. I love the 3rd round picks in White and Teller. Teller needs some work in pass pro, but he is technically sound in the run game and finishes plays with some nasty.
* Not a huge fan of the Norton selection with Shepherd still on the board, but I do like the Baker pick. He could be our new KPL in that he can cover in space, spy, and hold up against the run and even be a third safety.
* Love the value of the Ejiofor pick. Duke plays undisciplined at times, but has heavy hands and sheds well. His combine injury and lacklustre testing has him dropping on a lot of boards/mocks.

What's crazy is if it falls like that....I'd take Davis at #54 and then be looking to trade up to 56 or 57 to grab Justin Reid. I'd trade our higher 3rd round pick, one of our 4ths and then a late round pick.

Davis and Reid in the 2nd would go a long ****ing way to boost our secondary.

The March 28 mock had KC taking Reid at #54.
I like him better than White as he is more versatile, and just plain more talented.

They’d probably have to give up both 3rd round picks to do that.

What about #78, the Rams 2nd next year and a late round pick. That should be able to get it done.

That would be a scenario I would probably be ok with dumping off that extra 2nd round pick.

This mock has Settle going at #127, wow the draft really hurt his stock apparently. Would take him at 122 instead of Norton.
