It might be time to go back to cable

I was thinking, with all the price increases for NFL Sunday ticket, that it just might be time to switch back to cable. Heck, since I live near the bay area, they don't even show all the local bay area channels and I miss Sharks Hockey, if they ever play again that is.

Currently I have been sticking with the chit, because I thouroughly enjoy watching the Chiefs, but will quickly give that up if the playoff window shuts. I will still follow the Chiefs, but from the safe distance that my locally controlled marketplace will afford.

I mean, with the Japanese opening up across the street and all, a man has to have priorities. Time for a little belt tightening.

My family knows that if the Chiefs are not on local tv I will be going out on game days.

I do wish I had the choice of the NFL channel though.

That being the case, DirecTV doesn't supply me with San Jose's Channel 36, so I miss a lot of their games, EVEN if I pay for the Hockey package, rip off for west coast since most of the gametimes are 4:30. And we know where Bunny is at that time.

I firmly believe our season this year will make the money spent on NFL Sunday ticket seem like money well spent. Anyway, if I didn't have it, I would be going to sports bars and the money I spend on food and drink at sports bars would be more than the cost of Sunday ticket.

Sad to say, I don't have the time nor the inclination to haunt sports bars, it sound like a lot of fun though.

That sucks for you. I don't have anything special and I get every single Stars games.

As far as time, you need to make time, life's too short (easier said than done, I know). As far as inclination, yea I agree, I'm not a sports bar fan, problem is I am a Chiefs fanatic and can't stand the thought of them being on and me not watching. Don't know where you are in Northern CA, but if I'm ever in the need of pets or pet supplies, I wish I could visit your establishment.
