Chiefs vs. Bills discussion thread...

Now that the preseason is over finally, the real bullets start to fly!

Who wins? What matchups can we take advantage of? How do we matchup with their offense, defense, special teams?

We must beat them. My wife's aunt is a big fan and she's as annoying as their uniforms.

Back to Football, just like the man told us...

As far as names go...

On defense, the answer to that is Marcell Dareus at DE. The guy should be a beast...Kyle Williams too at NT on the d-line. He went to the Pro Bowl last year, albeit as an alternate, but people are going to start knowing who this guy is. The line may not be sexy, but there is a reason why they say it all starts up front. The Bills are looking like they will have a solid line. The hope is that Shawne Merriman returns to form at OLB - some people have written him off, but he looks damn good to me, and he's still only 27. The secondary is decent as a unit, and we just drafted Aaron Williams. Nick Barnett should be solid at ILB. Jarius Byrd at FS played went to the Pro Bowl as a rookie two years ago.

On offense, there is Stevie Johnson at WR, who had a breakout season last year with 10 TDs and over 1000 yards. Freddie Jackson is extremely solid at RB, but the hope is for CJ Spiller to be the future at the position - we picked him #9 overall last year...he can line up anywhere. Most people look at Fitzpatrick as a solid stop-gap QB until we find our franchise QB - Fitz is smart as hell with a Harvard degree, and he's a great leader, but I'm not sure he has the tools to be a long-term solution. Roscoe Parrish is a very underrated slot receiver IMO - he just needs to stay healthy and Chan will use him right. Eric Wood at Center and Andy Levitre at LG seem to be long term solutions at their spots.

We have a lot of young guys we are trying to develop, just like any team I suppose...more so with Buffalo, though, I think. Lotta question marks. Lots of untested young guys getting a chance, so it's hard to say who will step up, if anybody, especially at positions like receiver. There has been a shuffling of the o-line, which probably needs some help. TE should mainly be a blocking one to help the line. Since Chan took over, the Bills have primarily focused on fixing the defense. Dunno how you feel about him in Kansas City, but Chan has made our offense look half-way competent again with the same players.

Like I say, this team has seen a major overhaul in the past two offseasons. The Bills always wanted to build primarily through the draft; the only problem is that we've drafted horribly the past decade or so. So Buddy Nix stepped in at GM and is trying to change that. There has been a focus on the Bills getting bigger and more physical. The last regime wanted small, fast guys that run to the ball, but that doesn't quite work outside in weather like Buffalo has.

I won't bore you with too many details (it might already be too late), but we are in year two of the latest rebuilding scheme. A lot of people, myself included, have positive feelings about the direction of the team this time around. There are certain hopes for any number of players, but not many truly proven established guys that people would consider stars.

I'm a little embarrassed by how you guys are getting treated on here. Bills fans are a classy bunch, I like to think Chiefs fans are too... most of the time.

If your skin's thick enough, stick around and you'll find a lot of good football talk. This board is home to fans of all teams.

I simply made a name on this board to tell you that your parents should have aborted you....you obviously have NO clue what you're talking about when it comes to actual FOOTBALL and not playing Madden on rookie. You fail at life...for the CIVIL Chiefs fans on this board, good luck Sunday should be a good game...

LOL, I was being facetious. I actually encourage everybody to do whatever they like with their fat cocks, as long as nobody gets hurt...but if people want to hurt by fat cocks, then they should go at that too. Good luck to them.

Yeah, but that was only in 6 starts. The guy was never given the opportunity to start in the slot until last year, but he got hurt. He is a unique player, and you may not even know who I'm talking about. He's also one of the best punt returners in the league.

Actually, some of them are much more realistic about their team than most people here are about the Chiefs.

14 teams have never won a Super Bowl. Strange how you are somehow a worse franchise for appearing in it more if you don't win.

Yeah, some of them do. I never thought I'd see the day of Roscoe Parrish being pimped out as something special though.
