Surely Dorsey/Reid aren't so deranged and stupid to re-sign Kendrick Lewis, right?

Right?

I mean, a lot of safeties have signed with other teams so far. And Byrd will be shit expensive... too expensive for us to pay. And we might get desperate, sure.

But surely they're not stupid to think that Kendrick Lewis was in any way shape or form a beneficial asset to the defense, right?

I'm starting to get scared, that's all. I'd rather re-sign Abdullah and stand pat with whatever we have than trot out that pile of garbage for one more ****ing passing down.

I'd rather have them trot out nobody, than re-sign Brokedick Lewis.

LOL I've been a fan since the early 80s.

Not sure why I still care. I just don't let the futility bother me as much anymore.

Let me rephrase: how is KC in a position to replace the losses in FA, let alone improve from the playoff debacle?

after that, the only way the Chiefs keep Lewis is if they don't have a choice

I don't think the losses are as bad as they seem. We have a few young guys on the line that can step up. Would have liked to keep Schwartz, but whatever. I don't think McCluster is a big loss at all. Tyson Jackson would be a concern due to not having his replacement on the roster, but they'll find somebody. My biggest concern is still FS. They need to come out of FA with a serviceable. FS.
