well once Scherzer gets through a few innings unscathed the game is pretty much over...

we aren't scoring more than 1 or 2 in this one...he's on cruise control

Pay attention to every one of our AB's. EVERY BATTER takes a meat pitch right down broadway and then swings at something in the dirt or at the chin. This team has no plate discipline from top to ****ing bottom. It's sickening.

but like I said...while I may quit watching this one early because I'm tired and don't want to invest my night watching Jason Frasor pitch...I'm not freaking out, because I didn't think we had a great shot to win today anyways. Tomorrow...on the other hand. We lose that one and we might see a classic Hootie 2.0 meltdown.

The hilarious thing is...even when he gets out, or strikes out, or whatever...HE ALWAYS HAS A GOOD AT BAT. ALWAYS.

he's the one guy we have that takes pitches...and he takes pitches every at bat...and he generally swings at strikes and doesn't chase

He is literally the most important hitter in our lineup sans MAYBE Gordon because he works counts

he needs to be an every day player...and it should be in RF. It kills two birds with one stone.

and he should also be hitting 3rd or 4th

Even when we rip the shit outta one it amounts to nothing. Scherzer is off tonight though. If we can hold them from scoring again, we'll have a chance to make this a game.

Yeah, Scherzer is by no means unbeatable tonight... for a normal team with at least an average offense.
