All hope isn't lost against Cincinnati

Sean Smith is coming back and Andy Dalton has the propensity to shit the bed at the most inopportune times.

I don't disagree with that. For them to win big games, Reid would have to get out of his own way and Smith would have to at least reach his own ceiling, low as that may be. I don't know which is more unlikely.

Can we stop acting like David Carr was anything other than a useless ****ing QB with William Bartee syndrome.

That guy could never read a defense, never went through progressions, and his lock on his primary receiver was stronger than anything Master Locks ever put out.

You don't get sacked 49 times in a season, 68 times in a season, 76 times in a season, unless you yourself are pure utter useless garbage.

Those O-Lines were never nearly as bad as Carr made them look.

I am not doubting it.

I would just like to see all the numbers for all the QBs.

We are getting our ass kicked today. Smith can't beat a weak defense much less a good one.

No. But it brings us back to 2014 levels where we winded up with a good but not good enough 9-7 record against a tough schedule. It's why I don't get the idea that we are regressing. The first two games looked very similar to 2014. We regressed for one game.

No, I don't want to keep playing like this. But the reality is this idea of a meteoric collapse are off base until we see it happen more than one game.

If Alex Smith continues to play like shit, continues to duck his head down and accept sacks at the slightest hint of pressure, if he is unable to look or get the ball downfield, if he can't run a 2 minute drill without a 17 play dink/dunk drive, if he doesn't start to live up to the $45+ million in guaranteed money the Chiefs gave him last year… then nothing else will matter and the Chiefs will have no chance.

So now the excuse for losing is that we weren't supposed to beat these really good teams anyway? Does that also mean that the Chiefs will win out and go 13-3 or maybe only lose one more to go 12-4 like the homers predicted?

So of the douches who posted earlier in this thread need to show their faces.
