I'll Take Todd Haley for a hundred, Alex

Ok, I realize that most of you are not going to like this observation, but I'm going to make it anyway: We'd have been better off keeping Todd Haley as our coach than hiring Andy Reid. Yeah, I said it.

This whole franchise lacks.......balls. And not the over/under-inflated kind either. Haley was obviously learning on the job as to how to be a head coach, so he clearly made some mistakes. However, he knew that given the talent that Scooter had provided, the ONLY way for him to be competitive was to roll the dice and take some chances. Clearly, some of said chances were real boners, but the guy had cojones.

Plus, Haley had zero support from his boss who handcuffed him Mr Cassel, and didn't he have Tyler Palko as his backup QB? Those guys weren't pro-caliber QBs, heck they weren't much more than answers to trivia questions.

Haley also wasn't going to put up with pussy-footed players.....period. See DJ and Bowe about that.

Instead we now have Andy Reid who selected Alex "The Accountant" Smith as his "dynamic" QB. BTW, did you hear Smith after the game? Calmly assessed it as "only one game" and "there's a lot of football left" bullshit. And of course Reid took responsibility for the game, but Lord have mercy, what in the world does THAT mean? Is he gonna put himself in timeout?

I wanna see someone with some PASSION. Not some cool, calculating football "genius" who constantly outthinks himself. I wanted to hear "Totally and Completely Unacceptable", not this mealy-mouthed "My Responsibility" crap.

Anyway, like him or not, I claim we'd be MUCH further down the road to the Super Bowl with Todd Friggin' Haley as coach than we are with the ultra-conservative, don't push the ball down the field, Andy Reid. I can sure as hell guarantee you that Haley's choice for a QB wouldn't be some wanna-be accountant type. He'd have some gunslinger out there who shows some friggin' PASSION.

Frankly, I'm tired of all of the conservative mindlessness within this friggin' organization. Next thing you know, we're gonna change our colors to an electric beige.

Gimme a friggin' break....

Haley was too good of a coach to be in KC for very long.

Just because Chiefs.

Damn dude, no words. What's it like to be completely wrong all the time?

BTW, still think the Chiefs beat the Bengals? Fool.

All I want is a head coach with balls and doesn't feel like he has to be a coordinator as well.

You really love to twist words around, don't you. Find me a single place where I said the chiefs will beat the Bengals. I said the Bengals would probably win but the chiefs would keep it close. The chiefs are bad for reasons people can't explain. Few predicted this kind of defensive collapse or the complete lack of energy on this team.

You love to call me out on shit. Why don't we call me even since you were one of the chicken littles last year who predicted the chiefs would only win a few games.

And nice deflection. As usual, arguing the poster not the topic. Haley has done an excellent job with big Ben. The only QB he has struggled with is cassel, and it is widely known he never wanted the guy.

Haley and Dorsey would be interesting to say the least.

The fact that Reid is terrible doesn't make Haley good.

Looking back, it's amazing that Haley could even make chicken salad out of the chicken shit Pioli gave him.

HALEY wasn't too much of a pussy to Hail Mary against the Bears. Walked into Soldier Field and beat the Bears with TYLER ****ING PALKO at QB.

Dude will get a shot with a real team, and he'll burn us repeatedly.

Because Chiefs.

I would give him a second shot, and here's why:

I watched him hold some of our best yet-questionable at the time players to a standard, and they excelled under him.

The guy was anything but a pussy on 4th down. WIN.

I would like to believe also that whatever shortcomings he may have had as a first time HC, he's learned some humility going back to his old position, and would have a better go of it in round 2.

Pop Quiz:

Think of a current head coach who faced roughly the same situation, and is now one of the winningest and most respected coaches in the league.

I don't know if Haley would make a good head coach. I don't. But the comments people make to discredit him are usually ridiculous.

He gets blamed for the QB he didn't want. There is clear proof of this.
Gets blamed for playing Palko even though he lobbied for Hasselbeck and Kaepernick and got denied
Gets no credit for DJ and Bowe, even though they've fallen off a cliff since he left. And nevermind that he's turning every single Steeler receiver into a monster
Is accused of only working with great QBs, even though he managed to coach Big Ben to work within an offense (versus freelancing)
Edit: One more thing. Threw a shit-fit when they drafted Tyson Jackson. Seems like he wanted to run the 4-3 under, the same scheme Pete Carroll runs in Seattle

I'm wrong about a lot of shit. But at least I own up to it. Haley is yet another example of cp stubbornly refusing to admit they were dead wrong about the guy. He's done a pretty good job in Pittsburgh

He turned DJ into a Donkey-killing monster for a while. Bowe to the Pro Bowl, and Flowers was a ****ing beast under his watch.

It's truly a shame he got saddled with Peeholi.

Telling McClown to go **** himself? I mean, who the **** doesn't love that?
