Would you suffer through another year of Alex Smith if they draft a 1st round QB?

Say the Chiefs win 2-4 games this season and end up drafting a QB with their 1st pick.

Would you be willing to suffer through another season of Alex Smith? This is assuming that the rookie sits for the 1st season to get a handle on the offense. This also makes it so the Chiefs don't have to take a huge cap hit to cut Smith.

Sit Alex so he can get his head right with ball?

Holy shit. Who the **** ever heard of Steve Young or Troy Aikman or John Elway or Jim Kelly or Aaron Rodgers or even a ****ing bum like Trent Green being "sat down" to get mentally refocused during a season?

This isn't baseball. There aren't 162 games. There are 16 and you play each one if you're healthy unless you're just a pussy ass bullshit artist who scammed his way into $70 million undeserved and is a dead man ****ing walking because the SECOND we draft a real QB the clock starts ticking on this asshole.

He's got two more years here.

You should accept that fact.

Besides, they are going to need that time to groom either Murray or a QB that they draft in 2016 or 2017.

And a similar situation most likely helped Kurt Warner become the guy he was with the Cardinals.

I think it would be good for Alex and the team to help him even out and just get right.

Just as long as 1.5 of those years are on the bench.

It helped Kurt Warner go back to being Kurt Warner. He was a guy who, by the way, flourished with protection.

Alex Smith would go back to being... Alex Smith? Don't see the giant difference?

I'm okay with that.

Let's see if Daniel can do this.

Let's see if Murray can do this.

Let's see if a QB taken in either 2016 or 2017 can do this.

Let's see if Smith can right the internal mental ship.

All this is a possibility.

It is very doubtful any if the qbs on this roster are the answer. They have to pull the trigger in 2016. Worst case, they have a good backup QB in the bench. Sure, give all these guys a shot the next year or two. But we pretty much know what we have. Let's be real.

We're likely going to have a top 5 pick in 2016, if that pick is QB, than you absolutly start him.Daniel is likely gone after this year, Murray and Bray can be the backups and try to get a ham sandwich or a 6 pack of natty ice from a QB starved team for alice

Murray should start on sunday (he won't, but he should) No need to prolong the inevitable. Alice ain't the answer and neither is Daniel. The season is done for the Chiefs so why not see what we have
