As dumb as the 49ers are, I don't think they botch this one. With the military guys pretty much flaming out(major props to them anyway), he is the feel good story of the pre season and more than that, this kid can play. And the league is trying to expand it's brand overseas anyway. I think he makes it.

I don't think Hayne makes sense for the Chiefs as they have DAT and Davis already. I'd want Denver to pick him up because I don't like Emmanuel Sanders returning punts, but we don't really have anybody who sucks on this team to cut.

Davis is marginally better today, but is also at or near his peak. Hayne has some learning left to do, but is a superior athlete with superior instincts.

Not saying abandon Davis to get him, but make room.
