First off, yes, I was absolutely a "douchebag." I found it ridiculous to have a sub-forum dedicated to the draft, and then have people post draft-related topics in the lounge where it gets lost among the inane drivel that overwhelms that area.

It isn't about Laz, or should I say it wasn't meant as any sort of personal attack on Laz. It was merely the idea that what he posted, or what anyone would post about the draft there, will be 10 pages deep and lost in a matter of a week. It's nice to be able to find such topics and talk about them throughout the process, hence the reason the sub-forum exists.

It also wasn't about how much work I put into the draft section. I don't run the draft section. I don't think I contribute anything more than a number of other people. I don't consider the draft area a "good ol' boys club," which apparently is the thought of several members around here. If there's something to be discussed about the draft, there's no reason anyone should be unwelcome to talk about it in the draft section.

What I attempted, perhaps unsuccessfully, to point out by making my statement about posting a draft prospect thread every day in the lounge, was how ridiculous that would be. Apparently, others disagree with me and think that topics should be posted in the lounge just because people do that every year. Who would want to search through all that shit to find a thread about, say, William Jackson? I tried to make it a point to drive home the idea that sub-forums were created for a reason and that we should all take advantage of using them. It keeps the board organized and helps people who are interested in that topic quickly reference threads. I see posting a topic in a sub-forum providing for more conversation than it would in the lounge. I think that Laz and others should come to the draft sub-forum and be welcome here. I think that, with just a click of a mouse button, that it should be easy to come in here and make a post.

So, my problem isn't my failed attempt to drive the point home that its ridiculous to post draft topics in the lounge. One problem is that this board has several, or should I say too many, complete assholes. The only thing several posters on this board bring to the table here is the ability to act like an internet tough guy and have nothing more. I won't name names. I can tell you this, if some of the people on this board said to me in person what the say on this board, I'd knock their ****ing teeth straight down their throat (and a few probably haven't had that happen yet in life but need it desperately). This isn't because there is one specific post in one thread, this is a cumulative effect of certain people just being assholes, continually.

My other problem is people suggesting I be banned simply because I took a stand on an issue around here. I post about putting a post a day in the lounge on the draft, to really make a point about it being idiotic, and I get told I should be banned. Seriously? I then made it a point to simulate that effect and started pulling down everything I've contributed. If I didn't get tired of clicking delete, I would have eliminated it all. I took the liberty to basically ban myself for a few days and take a break. I told a couple people in PMs that I would take a break and that I was sick of the bullshit around here. I suppose the biggest issue is the general attitude that CP fosters; be a prick just to be a prick just because they can. We all have some good-hearted ribbing from time-to-time, that's not what I'm speaking of.

Lastly, I never said I was leaving forever. After reading some of the shit here, I'm seriously considering it. It's good to know some people enjoy my posts and, equally, I enjoy several of the members' posts around here. I was going to take a break from posting here until well after the draft. At this point, I don't feel overly inclined to post on much of anything.

This board has a collective group of assholes that really need to grow up. I get sick of reading the bullshit in just about every thread that gets posted around here, more or less actually posting a response to it. I won't say I'm not guilty of an asinine post from time-to-time, because I know I am, but I don't make it my full-time hobby to be a first-class jerk in every thread I can.

I'll finish the CP Mock draft since I committed to doing so when I signed up. Others shouldn't be burdened with filling in for me.

Individual prospect threads and the such should be in the draft lounge.

Publication draft picks and stuff about who the chiefs are interested in goes in the lounge around draft time. Feel as if we had a disconnect there.

There was a disconnect, absolutely. I conceded that it was kind of "whatever" deal at the end of that thread/conversation. If that's what people want to continue to do, that's what they want. I continue to find it ridiculous, nonetheless, but I'm not pissed about it. Most of it is already posted in the draft lounge anyhow. Take, for instance, the thread about Moritz Boehringer. I posted about him in the draft forum, the day before it was posted again in the Lounge, with a link to the NFL.com article. As long as someone attaches the appropriate prefix, I'd just sort the forum for it if its worth actually talking about further.

What I was pissed about really has nothing to do with the argument over where things go.

All the regulars are. As much as I think I know about football, I really don't when I read you, Pest, Direck, Sacc, RunKC, Dante....on and on.....

Pretty much this. I love reading your shit on obscure dudes. I don't contribute much (any, really), but I do read most of it because I like to hear about it all, and I'm not about to do all the research. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Couldn't care less about Voyager and his daily drafts but I am legitimately concerned about Sac's health and well being.
