This is relevant because Miller is pretty close with the Chiefs in general.

They have also met with Watson (as Clay showed), and Trubisky.

Kaaya is a pro style smart QB and I think that's what they want. Why else would they draft 2 of those kind of players when they did take shots at a QB?

Alex is a "smart" spread offense QB and look at how much he struggles? Now imagine Paxton Lynch who has elite athletic pro's but was obviously a moron when it comes to football IQ. That's probably why they didn't want that type of player.

Makes a lot of sense to me

Lynch moves like a guy who's six inches shorter. The only way Lynch's size hurts him is it can lead him to getting too deep in his drops if he's not careful.

I was impressed with his go getem attitude at the combine. He was the most upbeat QB working out. I see that as intelligence which we know Andy likes.

The issue with Kaaya to me is that his biggest flaws were made to easily be hidden in the combine environment. And they were, he did a nice job.

At this point, it's Mahomes or Watson for me. I worry about Watson's durability though in the league. With those two, I think you have a chance of maybe developing into a top flight QB eventually. The other guys that the Chiefs could possibly be in position to draft won't be any more than average IMO, at best.

Well, if not for their personalities and leadership abilities, they could have been great QBs so..

Yeah, his ceiling is probably Brett Favre but even Favre had a lot of flaws that cost you games.

If the Chiefs are looking for the polar opposite of Alex Smith, Mahomes is their guy.

Not sure why the big issue with Kaaya struggling with pressure. That's every QB.

Look at Tom Brady in the first half of the SB vs 2nd half. He was awful until Atlanta's defense ran out of gas.

Yeah, but that's a best case scenario. Mahomes has a super low floor.

I'd rather take the chance than settle for one of these guys who are likely average QBs as their best case scenario. Smith is already average for us.

I also think putting Mahomes in a place like KC where he can sit for awhile will increase the odds of him reaching the ceiling rather than the floor.
