I didnt mean when the season starts, just as a place holder. I see him on the left side/slot in sub packages. Amerson will play left side in sub and we will probably end up with a jaire alexander or nick nelson type in the draft.

Number 1 CB is a fluid concept in this defense because they dont play "number 1" they are left side and right side.

Still have the draft..if we have the offense complete by then we could nearly go all Defense

Strengths of free agency this year seem to be WR, QB, and DL, and two of those positions have been linked back to KC as a need.

Everyone keeps talking about CB and Safety, who is out there?

Perhaps Veach thinks he can get surefire starters at those positions on day 2 and 3 of the draft.

I would rather spend 14 mill on Watkins than 7 mill on Fulton.

I think a viable approach would be to pay for skill positions in FA, and go draft for the O-Line, especially with a fairly mobile QB back there.

“Free agency, the draft, it all has to be a cohesive deal where you’re attacking an area in free agency because it doesn’t work in the draft because of the depth,” Veach said. “And then vice versa, where you know you can’t get this in free agency but you can get it in the draft.” - Brett Veach

This is his plan.

Funny Story: Fulton is expected to play guard and will make 7 a mil per. Hudson who was one of the best centers makes 8mil per. What a difference a few years makes.

I'd give Watson slightly above average #2 WR money. If he doesn't want that, then he can go somewhere else. I do think people are making excuses for him though.

He'd be a great #2 if he'll settle for around #2 money. But he's not good enough to overpay for

So now we are talking about trading for Dashaun Watson and converting him to WR... man this site is wild.

I haven't watched Watkins play much, so I really shouldn't give an opinion on this thread, but I'm typing this to let you guys know I at least thought about it.

I'm not giving Watkins any $ that prevents Hill from getting his money in a few years so if its $14MM or even close to that then the answer is no thanks.

$8MM per year avg maybe.

Chiefs will be LOADED as far as cap is concerned next season. No need to worry about Hill.
