She's a coattails rider who didn't have the chops to run a show like that.

DAMN, that was an amazing series. I enjoyed all of that thoroughly. What a great sendoff for these characters that I never would have thought needed a sendoff when Rogue One showed up on the scene. And to see Bix at the end? Just perfect.

I mean, enough of this shit. If Disney wants to maintain their hold over the Marvel and Star Wars IP's, then let them have it. Just make sure Filoni and Gilroy have free reign over all things Star Wars going forward and do the same for Favreau and the Russo Bothers for Marvel, then sit back and watch success and profits they thought were unreachable after Endgame become commonplace with both franchises.

The big thing is give a shit.

Andor is ****ing incredible. It's obvious there was real effort on all fronts. Writing, direction, sets, acting. Just incredible.

I don't know where this will end up on an all time list for me, but it's up there. Shit is really ****ing good.

I ****ing loved season 2, but for me season 1 was my favorite still. I rank Andor right up there with season 1 of True Detective.. 1a and 1b. This show was just so well done across the board.

I agree with the consensus, I loved this series.

Rogue 1 has become my favorite Star Wars movie and I finally got around to watching Andor last week. Blew through them just in time to see the finale(s) the day it was released.

This was a great expansion of the Star Wars Universe. One of my favorite series ever.

I kind of love that this show sort of changed who the real hero of the rebellion really was. Easy answer for the galaxy is Leia. Insiders know it was Luke. True revolutionaries whisper the name Luthen. And then lost in time is the name Lonnie, and whatever befell his family in times of war.

Best Star Wars TV series ever.

And this discussion of The Acolyte is a ****ing travesty to mention that piece of shit show in the best Star Wars TV show thread.

I just read the two seasons cost $645M to make. I think there's very little chance we'll ever see anything quite like this series again in the SW universe simply on the financials alone.

Even if it was a viewership hit (which it really wasn't despite being a masterpiece of television), Disney would never commit that much money to a Disney+ series ever again.

Cloak and dagger shit with our heroes, too.
De-canonize the ****ing sequel trilogy and try again...

It'll never happen. And evidently they won't ever bring back the EU
Spoiler!
but everything just points back to the disaster and disappointment of the damn sequel trilogy.

It will take 50 years for that to happen

Someone will own the IP to Star Wars, de-canonize the ST, and use incredible AI technology to cast the ghosts of Ford, Fisher and Hamill in it.

When they're not one foot in the grave.

The only holdup will be Alec Guiness' estate forbidding the use of his likeness in AI, so Ewan McCregor will be ghost Obi-Wan.
