And he has already taken a lot of flak from the fans for his poor performance late last season and then this incident. I believe that he wants a fresh start as much as KU does.

I agree. He gave J.R. the opportunity to slit his wrists and climb in the warm bath rather than require a hit from the family.

Funny thing though - Looks like all of KU's starters next year will be Self recruits. Moulaye is done, Hawkins isn't a starter, and Jeremy Case isn't either. Crazy to think that all of KU's starters next year will be either freshman or sophomores. Robinson/Kaun/Giles/Jackson/Downs/Wright/Chalmers...
