Boomer was on a roll

Printed in today's Indianapolis Star.

"The next head coach of Kansas City better be tough, because this team is perceived to be one of the softest in the NFL" - Boomer Esiason

You read it wrong. He was referring to our new coach's old team.

I believe that's a mistake... he said the Jets, not the Chiefs.

"All I worry about is where the Jets are as an organization," said Esiason, a CBS-TV analyst who also has a show on MSG Network. "[The next coach] better be tough, because this team is perceived to be one of the softest in the NFL."

I'd like to ask Boomer how a team is percieved to be the softest in the NFL, while at the same time everyone says that team didn't quit on Herm in spite of all the injuries, and played hard every game?

We have been accused of being soft. I am not sure what that means. Not mentally tough?
