If Swann is in (which I think he should not) then Ward is in.

Swann and Stalworth shouldn't be in.

Of course Art Monk has better stats than all these guys.........yet he can't get in.
I'm also not sure they can make a bust to look like Hines Ward with that weird smile face he does. |

Art Monk was a compiler. Being "steady" for a long, long time doesn't warrant induction IMO. You need to be a DOMINANT player.
Swann and Stalworth won 4 rings, which is why they got in. IMO, rings should be a criteria for induction either -- football is a team game, and championships are a team accomplishment. Again, neither was DOMINANT in their day. Derrick Thomas should be in goddammit. |

First of all, until this batch of Steelers win 2 more SB, you can leave off the comparisons to Stallworth and Swann. For several years, Canton was intent on putting as many of those '70's Steelers in the HOF as possible. I'm surprised Rocky Bliar isn't in. They also played in a different era with regard to WR stats.
Ward is a possession receiver, which will work against him (see Art Monk). He isn't a game changer or one of the very elite WR of his generation. He's very good, consistent and does a lot of things well. IMO, he needs 1 of the following 2 to have a decent shot: 12,000 career yards another SB apperance, win would be better. If he got both, it would be a slam dunk. |

If Ward should get in..rod Smith should get in...and while Rod Smith is an excellent football player that has beat the odds....he shouldn't be in the Hall as of right now,.
