Creating the perfect quarterback - real-world scenario

I will include a poll with 20 characteristics that would create the perfect quarterback (unless I'm missing some, of course, and excluding things like "can hand off well" and "can take snap without fumbling" and "can block for Priest when he reverses field").

In the real world, no quarterback will have all of these, except of course the latest quarterback to go #1 in the draft. So if you can get a quarterback who is among the top ten percent of quarterbacks at TEN of these things, which combination of TEN would you take? Assume that anything not taken will result in the quarterback being average to slightly below average in that area.

Pick TEN.

Basically, a Trent Green without the knee issues and a bit stronger arm. [/homer]

Ability to make quick reads during the play
Ability to read defenses before the play

- these two are very important. You do these two things well and you can be successful with marginal talent.

Ability to take hits and not get rattled

-Absolutely essential

Improves in clutch situations

-Makes good quarterbacks great

Long-pass accuracy

-There is no substitute

Low injury risk

-Can't win the game if you ain't out there

Medium-pass accuracy
Medium-pass velocity

- These go hand in hand. I wanted a rocket arm for one of the three areas.

Pocket Presence

-Underrated part of Marino's game

Short-pass accuracy

-I love accurate quarterbacks.
