This is very true and we are very fortunate to have neighbours (notice that Canadian spelling?!) like you folks...like all neighbors (there's one for you) we have our occasional arguments - but it has been a rock-solid relationship for many, many years....and I, for one, am glad to have it!

Now if you could just let us have an NFL team! I have been a Chiefs fan since the day they won the SB - it was the first NFL game I ever saw (up here where I lived in the sticks we did not get any US stations) - AND it was on my birthday - Jan 11, 1970 - so that serendipity (be it good - or mostly bad) led me to be a rabid Chiefs fan - I THINK the only one in Ottawa, Canada - one of 5 in all of Canada...

So I was overjoyed when I found this site - and for the first time in 37 years was able to share the pain and frustration and understand that - I WAS NOT ALONE!!!

Having said all that - the ONLY way I would EVER switch (maybe) is if we got a team up here in Toronto - maybe someday - and the sad truth might be that I would see a Super Bowl in Toronto (see the Blue Jays - not the Raptors) before I saw one for my beloved Chiefs....

Done rambling for now!

Good luck on getting a team someday. It could happen. Don't give up on the Chiefs though.

I agree that Canada is a very good friend of the US despite our occasional differences.

It's great to have you here. You may know this already, but we do have one or two other Canadian Chiefs fans (and at least one Canadian Raiders fan who isn't as bad as the typical stateside Raiders fans for some reason).

The Bring Back the draft talk was started by the Democrats, not the Bush administration. I think it was Charles Rangel D Pennsylvania. The Bush ADm. has firmly stuck on the volunteer armed forces.

You are so damn stupid it is incredible. Our enemy attacks us, logically therefore it is Bush's fault, I should have known.

Thanks for splanin that to me.

Islamabob and their apologists have driven this country into the ground, and the pacifists have their foot on the photovoltaic cell.

Bush's regime had plenty of data on the pending 911 attack and chose to do nothing. Since then he has used it as an excuse to invade two countries, not to mention taking away Americans rights in the proceess and opperating an illegal concentration camp where torture has taken place. Chew on that Bush lover.

Halfcanismisms (warning just reading them could lower your IQ)

“Bush has drove this country into the ground and he still has his foot on the gas peddle.”
(must have missed the Carter admin)

“I am just glad my boys are too young to draft and George (Hitler) Bush will be gone by the time they get old enough.”

(don’t worry if they take after you I doubt they could pass the entrance exam)

“Sending 20,000 more men in there is the worst thing he could have done. I guess he didn't learn anything from Nam-oh yeah thats (sp) right, Bush was snorting coke at a country club when that was going on.”

“Bush SR. tried to get the draft going and send me and my friends to the first Gulf War-you know the one where we were Liberators of the Oppressed-NOT the Oppressor! This war makes ZERO sense- Where are the Nukes Saddam was hiding?? Its all a lie and we will NEVER win. Send 100,000 kids to get their legs blown off- We will never win this.

(you must have been smoking too much dope, the military was being down sized during this time, no draft was even considered)

If my sons chose to join-I would be devasted (sp) but would respect their opinion. If they were drafted-I would do everything in my power to make sure they didn't go. Bush is running out of men to kill-the draft is around the corner.”

(more youth are killed in alcohol related deaths every year than have died during the entire Iraq enterprise. )
“It is not the USA's job to Police the World. China has commited (sp) more human rights violations in the last two years than Saddam ever did. This war is about OIL and that’s (sp) it. Say it like it is.

Where was the USA in Rowanda (sp) when kids were getting their arms hacked off? Oh yeah they don't have oil.

Don't act like we have ANY justification for being there-let alone sending more brave boys to die. It was voted on under false data and out right lies.

As far as death totals-one death was too many. But I am sure you have accurate totals on the women, children and innocent Iraqi's the US has bombed.

Don't be surprised if your retirment (sp) papers are pulled soon-they are sending everyone.”
(really where do you start on this rant)
“Bush's regime had plenty of data on the pending 911 attack and chose to do nothing. Since then he has used it as an excuse to invade two countries, not to mention taking away Americans rights in the proceess (sp) and opperating (sp) an illegal concentration camp where torture has taken place. (and the capper paranoid b/s)
