What is your greatest sports accomplishment that you achieved?

Just like the subject states. Lets hear your accomplishments.

Did you score over 40 points in a basketball game?

Four touchdowns in a high school or college game?

Have you directly affected a close outcome in a game: blocked a field goal attempt, tackled someone before they scored a td, hit the game winner with a full count in baseball, etc etc

By the way, scoring on my mom doesnt count

Placed 3rd in my division at the KS National Guard Pistol match a few years back. (followed by a less than stellar performance at regionals).

Game winning hit with 2 outs in the 7th to send my team to the state tournment my senior year of high school. Even better, it was against our cocky prick radier-esque rivals, Waukee. Des Moines paper even wrote up an article about, oh the glory days.

Also, won college intramural free throw contest by making 48 of 50.

Finally, ran a 6.0 forty yard dash my freshman year of football. I believe that record still stands.

Was part of the State Champion baseball team in '93, hit a double off the wall during the championship to drive home the eventual winning runs.
-we were undefeated that year and ranked 6th overall in the nation by USA today

Also was part of a triple play as a catcher in a tourney in St. Joe.. put the guy out at home, threw the guy out trying to go to 2nd, then put the 3rd guy out at home again.. that was pretty cool

I'm not sure that could be technically considered "running".

Oi, the first seems so, so, so French!
However, the 2nd seems less so. Guess it offsets. So you're covered.

Similar memories for me. I went 8 for 11 my senior year during the state tourney, and my team won state (6A in Kansas). Had an article in the paper about me (pretty cool stuff for an 18 year old).

Also went to the little league world series (AABC maybe?) between freshman and sophomore seasons. We played in Waterbury, Connecticut. Played against a team from Cincy (they had Barry Larkin's little brother), a team from California (they swung a sledge hammer in the on deck circle), a team from Miami and a team from Puerto Rico. The team from Norwalk, CA won the whole thing. We played them their closest game, and the score was something like 18-7.

As the closer for my legion team in 2005, I had 10 saves in 10 trys and an era of 0.72. That led to signing a scholarship to play baseball at Rockhurst University.

Unfortunatly, my elbow does not like baseball as much as I do, and my college career was short lived.

Lets see here...

Football - I scored the game winning touchdown on a fumble recovery, caught a game winning 2 point conversation, ended up being 1st team all-conference on the #3 team in the state, was recruited by every college in the state expect MU and MSU.

Basketball - won a slam dunk contest, highest scoring total was 24 but I only started 4 games from 5th grade to 12th.

Track - held school record in hurdles for freshman and 8th grade, only lost one race during that time
