1st day of firework sales is in the books

and as usual it was a pitiful day.I sure wished people would shop earlier but maybe the temptation of lighting them off is too great or the parents don't want to listen to the kids beg them to shoot something for the next two weeks.

Either way it was a slow sales day but we got alot done and the place is looking good.T-minus 10 days before all hell breaks loose.

Oh, and fireworks, just to be on topic: that put me over the line to attend.
Way to go. Get me a mountain bike and I'll jump through something with my Evel helmet on.
I've got a decent show put together, now I just have to find a few SOBER volunteers to shoot them off.

Shooting off fireworks at your house was one of the coolest times I've had north of the river.... but I definitely wasn't sober. Heh.

We ignited just over $1000 worth last night.

We had people from town driving by and stopping, only to turn around and get out their lawn chairs...

Oh and Jazzlover and Darkwolfe if you're reading this thanks so much for driving up from KC to say hey and buy some fireworks I really appreciate it.
No problem at all. It was nice to have the manager's recommendations as we shopped! We were pretty impressed with the prices too. I imagine we'll be back to shop next year!

We just kinda made a day of it. Stopped at the Jesse James antique mall and had dinner in St. Joe while we were there too. It was good to see you and Kathy again!

My neighbor spends about 2000$ every year, he gets his fireworks from a friend at cost. Friend has a tent. One hell of a show, goes for hours. I never need to buy anything.

32. Denver Broncos (No. 23; 2-5): With four wins and 13 losses over the last 17 games and a 45-point loss at home to the Raiders, we'd put the Broncos lower than No. 32 if we could

Let me ask you this:

Are you running ads on the web/banners or anything? (I'm certain you've discussed this in the past, but I haven't read it)
