Movies and TV TRANSFORMERS - Page 7

I just got home from an 8pm first showing of this movie. I took my 10 and 5 year old kids and they loved it! I must say, I wish the movie was out when I was a youngster. But late its better than never! Great flick Lotsa explosions, but the violence was mostly metal exploding or being shot up. Stronly recomended for those of you still stuck in your childhood like me.

Favorite Christmas present as a kid. We got to open 1 present on Christmas eve, and I happened to pick Megatron. I didn't care what I got the next day.

In the PC day and age I'm sure they purposely hid from the gun thing. Although my buddy brought up a point. Megatron had been frozen for tens of thousands of years, so he didn't get a chance to assimilate to human technology like the others did upon arriving on Earth.

I liked the movie alot, just got back from it. Hopefully there will be a sequel with much much more in it.

I don't know if they "hid" from the gun thing. They freaking killed people. I don't think guns had much to do with it.

Megatron has not been a gun for a very long time.. From what I have read it is because guns are frowned upon as child toys.. I don't think he has been a gun since the original series back in the 80's..

Yeah Soundwave better be in the next one maybe Starscream does a transmission like Optimus did and more Decepticons come down to get Megatron back somehow. But yeah Soundwave had a dog a bird and something else I can't remember. Oh and Valiant.. they're gonna make another one this movie is gonna pull in Spiderman bank.

Not so much for the movie but the toys they will be selling is the reason why he is not a gun.. The original megatron toy looked like a real gun from a few feet away... I don't think they want young children to see a gun in the house and think " cool, a gun I wonder if its megatron that my parents got me and play with it.."

Thats what I am hoping.. Will be interesting to see if they can make all their money back in the first week alone since they released Monday night.. Only needs around 150million... For some reason I think they will double it the first week, going to go see it again with some different friends..

I am a huge Harry Potter movie fan, I think they are amazing.. That said it is going to be damn hard to top Transformers this summer for a all around movie...

Overall for it's Monday night 8 pm showings and Tuesday showings it made 36.3 million dollars. Spidey 3 made close to 59 million on its opening day but that was a Friday. It'll be interesting to see the trend of it all over the weekend.

Its does, but the 2009 is designed with that style in mind. Just look at the grilles.

Bay's reasoning for having Megatron transform into something other than a gun was that it would be like Vader transforming into a lightsaber. Someone else is required to "wield" them.
