Biggest rip off restaurants

It's a fact that any chain restaurant has hugely inflated prices, dull service, and mediocre food quality. Someone mentioned Claim Jumper which is the perfect example of hugely inflated prices for something you can get at any Applebee's or TGIF's, etc...

If you want quality food- you're going to have to pay for it, and in most cases- it is worth it. But, you can't sit here and name every franchised restaurant and say it's a rip-off 'cause if you don't know that already, then you're pretty naive.

Hell, the biggest rip off of all has to be Starbuck's. $2.00 for coffee? $4.00 if you want a fuggen latte.

Sushi isn't a rip off. It's not a rip off if you don't like something. Sushi is high priced for a reason- 'cause the best sushi comes from overseas and the best sushi restaurants pay out a ransom to have it shipped overnight. Some of these sushi chefs are being paid $100,000 and more a year because they are such high demand.

There's a huge difference there. For instance mexican food has to be the biggest rip off of all. For instance, Chipolte. Good food for fast food, but the fact is- your $6.00 burrito maybe cost them no more than .50 to make. They have a total of a dozen ingredients in that whole store, so the profit market is astoundingly high. Why do you think there's so many mexican restaurants? The same thing goes for pizza. Domino's has a short list of ingredients and that 12.00 pizza you just bought didn't cost them a freakin' dollar to make. That's where we are getting ripped off the most. Plain, boring food, that costs more than it should.

I think you need a calculator, because your food costs are impossible. Yes, there is a huge markup on food, but to say a chipotle burrito costs less than 50 cents is asinine.

Maybe I'm a little slow on the uptake, but it just hit me. Did you actually start a thread to make the case that the biggest ripoff in all of restaurant-dom is a place you went to FOUR EFFING YEARS AGO, and didn't like the selection?

That one shitty salad you got as been burning your brain for FOUR EFFING YEARS?
FOUR EFFING YEARS of resentment over the lack of carpaccio and a plate of radicchio?

Fer chrissakes, Buco di Beppo in Lenexa has had it's grand opening and closed for good in the past FOUR EFFING YEARS.

Actually I got the idea for posting it when I was picking up a salad at Fresh Choice and thought what a great value it was. Some kid came behind me in line and got all pasta which made me remember The Olive Garden and what a rip I thought it was. Later that night I saw the advertisement for Olive Gardens with their all you can eat pasta advertisement and it made me laugh. I thought it would make a good thread. Apparently it did. I am not sure what your issue with me really is. Maybe you should pull out your kotex and let it flow. Is Lee of Baby Lee actually mean you are Chinese and your mad about my last Chinese thread then say something? I don't get it, I'm not psychic. You have been acting like a bitch ever since we got in a debate over whether I should give chase if I see somebody stealing one of my cars. After that I offered to get you into a FFL with mostly attorneys as I thought it would be a lot of fun for you hanging with attorneys on a subject you obviously like. Hell you didn't even give me a courtesy shout back. Whatever your issue is you need to clear it.
