Yes. I'm not a fan of moving Soria to the rotation. When Izzy was moved out of the role earlier this year, LaRussa talked about how hard it was to find a "special" player to fill this spot. I know not everyone's a fan of LaRussa, but dude knows a thing or two about ball.

This changes nothing for me. It only illustrates how emotionally invested people get into the closer role. You blow one dramatic game, and the 9 previous consecutive losses that happened before where the closer would not have made a whiff of difference is just forgotten. Peralta would not be Soria's replacement if he became a starter.

Agreed. If Soria is the closer, why the hell isnt he pitching to get that one out? If he's not going to be the closer and we are going to stretch him out to see if he can win some games, come out and say so.

According to Trey's conference, Nunez is on the 15 day DL and he "didn't want to risk blowing out our closer" in that situation.

As you many of you might know from previous threads, I think Teahen is someone I want on the team, but as a utility player. He'd be my Ross Gload.

That said, Teahen has hit the ball well the past two games. He's had some tough hitting luck, though.
