He needs vast improvement. The problem is that we don't have anyone much better than him to take his starting place. Those are bench numbers.

You want vast improvement on 50% three shooting? That alone justifies his being out there. Sorry but you will have to wait with the rest of us for these kids to develop. I'd bet money Bill Self knows more about this than you do.

Dude, he had 6 points. Those were his only 2 buckets. Last week, he airballed a layup, and today, he gets rejected by the rim while driving to it. I mean, it's great that he can hit the wide open 3s, but he can't hit any other shots, it seems.

I've said it before and I'll say it again -- he's a great off-the-bench guy. He's not good enough to be a starter on a NC team, but we don't have any better options. That's why he's out there. I'm absolutely 100% certain that Self knows more than I do, but I'm pretty sure he knows that he doesn't have anyone else to put out there.

Were not that far apart except I don't rail on freshmen because they aren't yet great. They're FRESHMEN!! Danny Manning only comes along twice per century. Our great team of last year lost to Bucknell and Bradley when they were young. People were laughing at us. Get realstic.

Morningstar isn't a freshman. He's a sophomore, but this is his 3rd year here. The guy is averaging 28 minutes per game. And he doesn't have great production.

I hope he gets better. I really do. Because we need him to get better.

He played nearly not at all last year or the year before. Only mop up duty. This is his first year as anything but a practice dummy. Self thinks he is most likely to develop apparently so I'm going with that. Most coaches would tolerate Brady even if he did nothing but bring his nearly 50% three shooting.

It's not really difficult to average close to 50% on threes per game when you only average hitting 1.6 per game. That's a totally misleading stat.

I know it's his first year starting and getting significant playing time, but he's been practicing with the team for a while now. He should be more developed at this point. We need him to step up because we have no one else.

Dream on. I just checked and thru games of Jan. 12, Moringstar is at 52% on threes. Reed is at an astonishing 65%. Both have 24 threes. We had two of the best in the country last year and neither were close to 50%. You act like a spoiled rotten kid.

Dream on what? The percentage doesn't mean jack shit. According to ESPN.com, he's 24 for 52. That works out to 46%, which is a good percentage. Average out over 16 games, the amount in which he's played, he's averaging a blistering 1.5 per game. Wow, color me impressed /sarcasm. And that percentage is helped a TON from the 6 for 8 from 3 performance he had against Coppin St.

I will say this. Brady Morningstar isn't really a problem on this team. Sure if we had more talent I don't think he should start but he's had a fine year. He does not make many mistakes, as evident by his zero turnovers today. If you shoot 46-48% from 3FG you need to be on the floor and you are an integral part of the offense. I do feel confident if Brady played last year he would have saw some regular minutes as a 3 point shooter and role player.

I don't think he's a problem. I'm just saying he's not a starter on a NC team with this level of play. The same can be said for a lot of our players, namely the Morris twins. Brady needs to get better, and this being his third year, I expect more from him than mediocre performances.
