For all you Brock Lesnar nuthuggers...

That's exactly what Fedor would do to Lesnar too. Deal with it.

Per JASONAUTO:

"Since brock has been in MMA what has he ACTUALLY done on the ground besides laying and throwing sloppy punches? fedor will take full advantage of him. IMO"

This post implies that you think Brock's ground n pound won't work against Fedor because Brock will end up getting submitted on the ground. Am I right???? I dont see how you come to this horrible prediction because Brock's gonna want to control the fight on the ground.....and don't say he can't have his way with someone that's around 230.

A better question is what does he need to do OTHER than throwing "sloppy" punches.....so far that's worked against UFC's elite HW's. You're obviously a fan of a technician in the ring....someone who can submit. Brock hasn't submit anyone because frankly he doesn't need to.

i would say that the vegas odds would actually be in brock's favor. most stateside fight fans would be putting their money on brock. i would give brock about the same chance as you. 25-30% to win. fedor 70-75% to win.

i will say that, to me, brock might be a little leery of his next fight, not scared and i never said he was scared

yeah you are right, he may TRY to control the ground, doesnt mean he wont get subbed.

I think the betting public is probably more intelligent that you give them credit for. No way Vegas favors Brock over the 30-1 best MMA fighter in the world IMO.

I am anxious to see if the fight ever happens, in the mean time Lesnar v Carwin and Fedor v Overeem should be entertaining fights.

I don't see anyone, anywhere who thinks that. This thread is about how Lesnar is considered a joke by MMA "purists".

Don't know what post you were reading. Please tell me where it's posted Brock would get submitted immediately if he did his ground and pound? I don't recall anyone on here saying it would be a quick submission. People are saying that Fedor would wait for his opportunity on the ground and for Brock to make a mistake and then he would submit him. Quickly I myself highly doubt.

Yup. Works both ways. Neither one of these fighters has fought a similar fighter to one another. Because there's only one Fedor and one Lesnar. That being said any comment or prediction as to what the outcome would be if these two ever do fight is exactly that. It's merely specualtion at this point, and who the hell really knows if the fight will ever come to fruition. My money's on Fedor though.

As far as Brock having the skills to submit anyone right now, I don't think anyone really knows that for sure other than Brock himself, and his camp. I mean no one has ever seen him try in an actual match. Then again he hasn't had too. When push comes to shove I'd like to see what kind of submission repertoire Brock has in his arsenal other than forcing his opponents into submission due to ground and pound. While effective I'm sure he could benefit from being more well versed in his ground game however like I said, no one person at least from an MMA fan standpoint really knows for sure.

Really I don't see how anyone can consider a joke of a fighter. While he may not be the best fighter in the world, I don't think he's a joke. Matter of fact far from it probably. I mean despite the talent or lack there of in the UFC heavyweight division (IMO the talent level is improving), I just don't think he wins the heavyweight title if he's just a "joke". Just my opinion though.

There are good arguments both ways. Right now there is only one Fedor and only one Lesnar. We can't make comparisons because of this (however we can speculate and call each other morons till we are blue in the face). I was watching Fedor Saturday night and thought he was in trouble, then BLAM!!! This was my first time watching Fedor so I didin't know this was typical. I have seen Brock fight several times and he absolutely detroys people. His loss to Mir the first time was due to a lack of experience in MMA. I would love to see a Fedor vs Lesnar fight. I hope this happens. It would be the biggest MMA fight of all-time (at least the most hyped).
