from past fight history that fight should have been stopped. if everything was kept consistent.

But Rosenthal wasn't Dana's choice, so that blows away the conspiracy theory.

I'm in the same boat as many here, wanted Carwin to win, but Lesner did what he had to do to survive and then ended the fight.

My only qualm of the night was Lytle deserved submission of the night.

Completely disagree. Leben hands down. That said... that was one hell of a hold to get the arm bar. I thought he had choked Brown out with his legs.

I don't think so. I saw Rothwell take much more of a beating from Velazquez and the fight continued then I saw Brock take. It was the right call.

Too me, when a guy has to verbally tell the ref to stop the fight because he doesn't have an arm to tap with, it's impressive. Certainly debatable for sure.

the rules dont change for title fights, well except for going five rounds.

Refs are supposed to stop fights if the fighter is totally defense-less. Meaning if he goes limp or if it's clear that he is unable to DEFEND himself. IMO the good refs are the ones that let it go until it's clear the fighter can no longer defend himself. Brock was down, cut, and taking some good shots from Carwin. BUT he was able to cover up and showed that he was making attempts to fight back. All you ever hear about are the bad refs that "stop fights too early", yet you never hear anything about how "good" a ref is. The ref let it go, Carwin was getting very tired, and his hits were getting less and less effective, and Brock eventually was able to stand to his feet and lean Carwin up against the cage and pretty much was able to rest before the bell rang. Carwin was tired. I don't believe in the whole "well it's because he's never been out of the 1st rd in his fights". That's bullshit because they sure as hell don't train that way. He as well as Brock trained for 5 rounds. He was just gassed, he exerted all of his energy throwing bombs. I think he was just too anxious more than anything. Having a better gameplan "during" the fight could have resulted in a different outcome for Carwin. But that 2nd rd proved that he didn't have anything left, he couldn't stand Lesnar's takedown because he didn't have any energy left. Then once Brock had the sidemount Carwin was finished. His eyes bulged out of his head and had the oh **** look on his face. Goodnight Carwin, sweet dreams. Had there not been a ref in this fight, Lesnar would have killed Carwin eventually from him passing out, then Brock wailing on him to death.

Having that said I still think Carwin poses as Lesnar's biggest threat as I post today. At least Brock knows now that he's not invincible. His first loss was a fluke loss. Mir's a pussy and Brock knows that, Frank knows that. Cain Velasquez IMO doesn't pose much as a threat to Lesnar as Carwin does. But Brock is a tough mother****er. Only he would have been able to recover from the punishment.

You don't even understand how the rules are enforced. If a fighter turtles up that is "not intelligently defending yourself". That's exactly what Brock did. It doesn't matter if the guy goes limp or gets KTFO. He doesn't have to. When he turtles up and takes 10 ear hole shots the fight is stopped. Unless he's the cover boy of your video game.

how many times do you have to be told that the Nevada Athletic commision does not care about any video game or that the UFC does not get to "choose" their referee. This was a good ref. It was a Undisputed HW championship fight on the biggest fight in the league's history. The ref is going to let this thing go. Mazagatti probably would have stopped the fight.......he stops everything.

47 unanswered blows. How many should a guy have to land on an turtled up opponent before they end it? 49, 65, 71?

you of all people, with your 20 years of MMA experience, should know that the refs in the fight are not employees of the UFC and report to the state athletic comission.

the state athletic comission does not give 2 shits about who wins the fight.

If Carwin was working over Lesnar as hard as Guardian is getting abused in this thread, the fight would have been stopped.
