RUMOR: Urban Meyer Stepping to step down

Todd Wright of Sporting News Radio http://sportingnewsradio.com is reporting:

# I've been told by multiple people to watch for Urban Meyer to step down (again) as Florida Gators head football coach later today

# IF Urban Meyer is actually stepping down THIS time, the bigger question is WHY & IF he resurfaces somewhere else (Ann Arbor, Denver, etc?) 15 minutes ago via web

http://twitter.com/Todd_Wright

If this turns out to be true welcome to the Tebow saga for a couple of weeks .....

Would Gruden want to go to the college ranks now that there is an opening in Florida?

Apparently Jesus Teblow had the magic touch to cure Urban of all his many ailments.

What a joke.

The fact the team tanked this year had nothing to do with this?

He is a quitter.

Dan McCarney - Head coach at North Texas
Greg Mattison - DC for Ravens
Billy Gonzalez - left for LSU after Addazio got the OC job

Addazio HAD to go and now we should get a fresh staff.

The only problem is I don't even know who I'd want as HC.
Mark Schlabach said on SportsCenter Dan Mullen would probably be the first choice. Also mentioned Bobby Petrino.

I could see them pursuing Mullen. Mullen already said no to Miami and was beginning extension talks with Miss. St. but if Florida comes calling he might listen.

No thanks to Petrino.

Personally, I'd love Jim Harbaugh but he'd only leave for Michigan, IMO.

I don't see him leaving BSU and not sure Foley would be interested.

Kansas doesn't need a coach. They are about to sign Urban Meyer.
