I have you on ignore, but I'm going to guess it's a tackle followed by some random position we really shouldn't spend a 2nd round pick on, and then finally starting to add players that could actually help the team in the middle rounds.

Actually I think this would be a great draft if the Chiefs could pull this off. Martez Wilson is probably going to be drafted much higher in the 2nd round. His combine numbers shows his athletic ability. Some questions remain about his health. Also I know you are high on Zane Taylor but I'm not sure he can step right in and become the Chiefs starter like they need.
I'd still take this draft for the Chiefs if it happened. |

I’m sure it’s in another draft thread but Walter Football had a pretty good draft for the Chiefs, but no offensive tackle.
They started with NT Phil Taylor in the 1st round. Followed that with C/G Rodney Hudson in the 2nd round. Many think that Center would be Hudson’s best position. WR Vincent Brown in the 3rd round. I know his speed was not great at the combine but he can be a good WR in the NFL. RB Delone Carter in the 4th round. The 5th round had OLB Thomas Keiser and then QB Nathan Enderle. I’d also take that draft. Any draft for the Chiefs has to takes a NT and Center. I think the WR need could be addressed through free agency. The OLB need could be taken care of with Studebaker and Sheffield or also going to the free agent market. The only good NT I see in free agency, is Franklin and I think he will be priced pretty high. I see no free agent options for the Chiefs at center, which means they have to draft a starting center. |

Quote:
1) OT - Carimi 2) ILB - Martez Wilson (herniated disk) 3) WR - Austin Pettis 4) NT - Ian Williams (gets replaced on passing downs) 5a) C - Zane Taylor (BIG SHOCK!) 5b) WR - Ricardo Lockett (Think he's like the 41st ranked WR and not projected to be close to drafted) 6) QB - Scott Tolzien (wasn't aware we had a 6th) 7) RB - Robert Hughes I bolded the only pick I like. |

The draft should focus on taking the best players. Ideally a NT or center would be graded high when KC picks, but you can't reach. This year sucks ass for centers. IMHO, KC should target Sendlein in free agency (whenever free agency is).

Sacc--
You haven't addressed the biggest need the Chiefs have ever faced in the history of the USA--replacing Brandon Albert!!! |

Well done Keg. You nailed it. Pettis and Taylor are the only good picks I see

Martez Wilson is a first rounder, by the way.
No way that cat falls to the 2nd. |
