Just flipping ya a bit of shit over the USC thing. Honestly, Ayers Is a good player, but how good will he be in the NFL with his lacking speed trying to cover the tight ends he would be facing?

I expected a much faster time than a 4.8+ as a first round prospect.

The Pouncey pick is dumb as ****, though, and Cleveland would clearly have the steal of the draft.
Only reason Id see them taking Baldwin is if they see James Jones AND Jordy Nelson leaving this off season.

I would be happy with Ayers @ 21. I'm never in love with a OT in the first round, and I feel that the need of the KC OL is in the middle anyway. I also am not extremely excited about Phil Taylor.

If they can draft Ayers at 21, and can come back and get Hankerson in round two, and Powe in round 3, I would be pretty happy.

The two biggest needs IMO on this team right now is another pass rusher at OLB, and a WR opposite Bowe.

Just a different cat. No way in **** do I believe that Nelson is 6'3", so Baldwin would be a far more physical receiver than anything else they have.

That said, I realize they're loaded at this position.

My hope, should we select him, is that he plays above the level of his play at UCLA as an NFL player, much as Matthews in Green Bay has.
I don't see him being a Matthews type. We got that in Tamba. I think Ayers could be better than Vrabel was during the Pats run, a cross between McGinest and Vrabel is what I picture him as.

Actually QB and NT are the most important needs.

I prefer Carimi or Sherrod over Ayers, but if the draft falls that way, I won't be upset with the pick. Just... underwhelmed, that's all.

Then again, I was underwhelmed about Tamba Hali when we drafted him.

Your opinion.

You can argue NT, however QB isn't even close to the biggest need on this team when your starting Kevin Curtis at WR, an ancient Mike Vrabel at OLB, and Ron Edwards at NT.

It doesn't matter who you're starting at any other position, if you don't have a QB, then that's always your biggest need.

Now, if you want to debate that Cassel is the QB that this team can win with, then that's an entirely different debate, and it's been hashed and rehashed.

I got a lot of mixed feelings about Smith, but several Chiefs fans on this Board who are also obviously Mizzou fans know Smith very well from his college background and seem to think he's got real talent and potential as a NFL edge-rusher ?
