Mike Silver: Raiders will play in AFC Championship

Normally I like Silver, but this is too funny to pass up.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slu...el_vick_090111

Quote:
AFC: Look for the Patriots (no one cares more about making statements in the regular season), Ravens (toughest team in football, and new fullback Vonta Leach(notes) will only accentuate that), Texans (it’s got to happen sometime, right?) and Raiders (they’re not booing, they’re saying “Huueeeeeee”) to capture division crowns and the Jets (try to take Shonn Greene(notes), Santonio Holmes(notes) and Plaxico Burress(notes) in your fantasy draft) and Browns (just a post-Mangini glasnost hunch) to edge out the Colts (four words: pain in the neck) and Steelers (there’s a reason why Super Bowl losers have struggled for the last decade-plus, even if I’m not exactly sure what it is) for the wild-card berths. I’ve already made the case that the Silver and Black will be back in the AFC championship game; I’ll reveal Oakland’s opponent – and my predicted Super Bowl opponent for the Eagles – when I make my video picks.

This is funny. I expect the Raiders to take a step back because of the reboot.

No, we're talking real life here, not Madden.

Fear creeps in. Insidious, like a drug-resistant virus eating away at your insides, growing ever stronger until you blurt out any defense you can muster. "Cable was a good coach! The Raiders aren't really back - it was just Zach Miller!" But it won't quell the terror inside, because..... We Are Borg

Sure that's easy to call. Even the most inept team is likely to eventually end up in the championship game. The big question is when?

So raiders in the championship game in 2050? It could happen, because by that time the No Fun League will have stopped playing games and just rotate the championship between all the teams to be 'fair' and make sure no team feels bad.

Yea but they still have there number one draft pick of this season to come in and play it up.

What's laughable is Silver thinks he made a case for the faiders to win the division. BTW what players worth a shit on that time are up for free agency after the season? You know they will eventually bolt for another organization if they like winning.

I have no desire to debate the topic other than KC will have their hands full with Oakland just as I said last year. I will say this the Eagles look spooky good to me~
