Seriously, though, I'll be rooting them on, but I think we're in for another long season.

Well we will probaly be out of contintion by the end of April or the middle of May, but Im ready. Probaly make the trek to 2 or 3 games. My 5 year old loves them. Went on photo day last year and he got his picture taken with many of the Royals players. He really enjoyed that. And we did win both games of the double header against Texas. Anyway for what its worth GO ROYALS!!!!

Sigh. Of course you are right. With a payroll of $37 million we aren't going to field a team that will even be competitive IMO. They still haven't got together with Beltran either. I'm still pulling for them but it is getting difficult to get enthused.

As far as Beltran is concerned, if 25 million to play for KC for the next 3 years is not enough, I really don't care if they sign him. He will be 29 years old at the end of that contract and in his prime and fully able to go FA! All that contract would do is bind him to the Royals for 1 more year than he will be anyway, doesn't sound like a lot considering how this club has stuck by him during his formative years. I say trade him and move on, show him the same consideration that he shows the Royals.
