Stuff You Could Live Without But Must Have Because Of The Quality

I've been going to do this thread for a few months, so here goes.

What are some things that you know of out there, that you may not need, but are in a class of their own. I'm talking top notch stuff, well above just very good, the best of the best and well worth it, because of the extreme quality. Things you would like, or would make great gifts for the right person. I'm not talking high dollar things like cars, lets say around $300, or less. Perhaps this will help with future gift ideas for people.

I'll post two examples:

1. I was trying to hunt down a leather bottle koozie, a cow (hair out) koozie to drink from, out in the man cave. (yeah twisted sense of humor) I looked all over and finally found one, right here in town, after googling the hell out of it. As far as I know, these folks are the only ones out there that make top notch leather koozies.

When I found them, I said the hell with the cow hair and invested in a bison bottle koozie. It's bison hide that's lined in Neoprene with a zipper and all handmade. I tested it all summer and I can safely say, this thing keeps my beer colder longer than anything I have ever tried, not even close. On top of that, the way it's made, it will last forever. I had one knocked out for my brother and my Dad as well. They have several different kinds of hides they can use, including things like shark.

http://www.etsy.com/shop/MontanaRedS...ion_id=8099603

2. If you, or someone in your family likes top notch candy, I'm talking the best you have ever tried, the Parrot Confectionery is a safe bet. These guys have been around along time, the early 50's to be exact and it looks about the same in there, old school. Whenever I'm in Helena, I have to stop for either a hot fudge, or caramel sunday. I also pick up two quarts of each for my parents and bring them back to town. All their stuff is handmade and or hand dipped. If you like candy, or have to pick out a gift for someone else who does, this is a safe bet.

Lets hear it, expain what it is and post a link.

The Denon ADH2000's are serious headphones. You would need a real powersource to drive them and they are like $250. Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio High-Definition Headphones are decent if you want to bass out.. Coming in cheap is a top of the line SkullCandy which would probably work for what you need and only run about $50. Coming in right at $200 is the http://www.amazon.com/Denon-AH-D1100...8074822&sr=1-7 Great phones, very accurate but you will want to add a a small amp at some point. I use a pair of these for my workout headphones. Hope that's helpfull.

That does help.

I wonder what kind of music you listen to and if that matters for any of these? I don't need bass thumpers because I don't listen to rap but I like full quality rock sound you get from headphones that do provide sufficient bass.

Your post said

"Then te lll me what ****ing headphones you want and pm me, your address just dont be an asshole."

So you were going to send me some headphones if I give you my address? That is how I read it. The misplaced comma in your sentence really throws me off so that could be why I am reading it wrong.

The Denons are always the most accurate. I love that 1000 series. Jazz, rock it is all good. THere is a noticeable pickup in the bass on the 2000 series. Seriously if your saving bucks and want a pair that will just get you through a few years and still sound decent get the best Skullcandy phones they make. Watch for sales because they really come down in price. lil momma has skull cand and loves them. She got a top notch pair on sale for under $30 as well. Then again hers was an open phone. I think you probably want full sized for traveling and stuff.

I don't have the money for it, but I think an expensive, quality bed has to be worth it. If it refreshes you, prevents aches, sores and stiffness, and puts a good cap on the day and helps start a great morning, I think you pull the trigger on that.

I had fresh orange juice or pineapple juice everyday I was in Bangkok... it was amazing stuff, and I hadn't ever thought I'd say that about fruit juice.
