I have no idea what more Bowe can do to win over people who think he hasn't irrevocably changed himself.

This isn't like maintaining a healthy and cautious distrust of Jared Allen one full year removed from his 2nd DUI. That's dealing with alcoholism. Showboating and attitude isn't alcholism.

Two years of no showboating and saying and doing ALL the right things is enough. When is it ever not?

We don't have the perspective from inside the locker room. The fact is, that Pioli has more information to make a more informed decision than we can as to his reformation.

So, we should blindly trust Pioli's judgement.

Matt Cassel agrees with you.

There aren't any.

Has anyone with a poor work ethic ever gone through 5 years without at least a whisper of that poor work ethic?
This.

Bowe has always had his heart in the right place. He's always been team first. He's always worked hard.

All the problems he has had his first three years in the league stem from lack of proper coaching and instruction, and also because he's not very smart. He demonstrated poor technique and follow-through on the field. Off the field he was a dumbass that made a really stupid comment, and he made a poor decision by accidentally taking a diuretic.

That's it. That's ****ing it. And look at the clown show he's put up with in return.

God, get this guy signed NOW

So his inspirational twitter updates, his private autograph-signing sessions he sets up all by himself, and his finely-tuned disciplined attitude on the practice field are all just for show? He's actually a locker room cancer who pisses off the other players and coaches when no cameras are around? He's doing it to be an evil asshole to Pioli, who will face the pressure to either overpay him or let him go to a high-life team like New York or Dallas?

I couldn't care less if Orton throws 600 yard every game. He's proven every single year that he's a terrible red zone QB and a terrible 3rd down QB. Score touchdowns or GTFO.

I'm far more trusting of the QB who consistently throws for 200-some yards to score TDs than the one who only musters up 85.

He never had a running game in Denver.

He would be a lot better in Kansas City. We wouldn't lose games at home to the ****ing Tim Tebows of the world.

There is really no comparison between Cassel and Orton. Not remotely the same.

Yeah, you're right. One's a starter and one's a back up.

I'm not trusting of either.

At the end of the day Cassel has won more. At the end of the day, there's a reason Orton is a back up QB.

But most importantly, I'm happy that neither will likely be the QB next year. Because if Orton had re-signed, we'd likely be stuck with him.

Which?

Both are high-quality backups. Nothing more.

Not at all arguing with you. But as it stands now, one is going to start this year and one is going to be on the bench.

Both suck. That's what it comes down to so it's hilarious that people clamor for Orton when he had 1 TD in 3 games last year against average at best pass defenses including 0 TDs in 5 trips in the red zone against the Packers.

Only because he has played on better teams.

Those teams won mostly in spite of Cassel.

Put him on the 2010 Broncos, with their #32 defense, and see how many games the ****er wins.

Orton is considered to be the best backup QB in the NFL right now.... One mess up and Romo will be on the bench.
